Safe Sender
To ensure that you receive emails from a sender, simply add their email address to your safe-sender list. This prevents your email client from potentially assuming the email is spam and placing it in the spam directory. You can access specific instructions for your email program by clicking on one of the links below.
Outlook (2000 & higher)
- Open the email in a separate window
- Click actions on the toolbar at the top of the email window
- select “junk email” then “add senders domain... to safe senders list.
AOL 8.0 +
- open email
- click the icon that says “add address”
- Save the contact information
Hotmail
- open the email
- click “save addresses” on the mail options tool bar
- Save the contact information.
Alternative:
- Go to main menu, click options, then select mail.
- The Junk email protection tool under mail will allow you to add the sender's complete domain, (@example.com) to your safe send list.
Yahoo
- Open the email
- Click “add to address book” on the right hand side of the sender's name
- Confirm and save.
Gmail
- Open the email
- Click “more options” on the right hand side of the email header
- Click “add sender to contacts list”
MacMail
- Open the email
- Ctr–click the sender's email address and select “open in address book”
- Confirm and save.
