Choose which email lists (Subscriber Categories) and contact fields (Subscriber Data) will be available when someone subscribes to your newsletter using a link in your newsletter or a form or link on your website. You can choose which Subscriber Categories are selected by default.
Choose which email list segments (called Subscriber Categories) to display, hide, or require for your opt-in email list subscribers. To require new subscribers to be added to a Subscriber Category, set the Category to be both Default and Hidden.
Modify categories selected by default on subscription forms.
When new subscribers click on the "subscribe" link in a newsletter footer:
Choose which categories will not be shown on subscription forms.
Choose what demographic information you wish to collect from new subscribers. Place a check mark under Displayed to display that field on your subscription form. Place a check mark under Required to require that field to be filled out. You may also specify up to ten Custom Fields.
Whether you choose to display or require fields on subscription forms does not affect or limit your ability to import subscriber data with standard or custom fields under My Subscribers > Add Subscribers.
Standard and Custom Fields may be email-merged into in your email messages using a simple Insert Token dropdown menu. You may also export subscriber information from Subscriber Search results and Campaign Reports.
