Template
This is the internal program name for the template used, which you can use to refer Live Support or your Account Manager when getting help with features or specifying preferences for a Custom Template.
Newsletter Name
This short, descriptive name for your email newsletters will appear sorted alphanumerically in your View Newsletter lists. This name is for internal use only, to help you identify and organize your newsletters. It does not appear anywhere in the email newsletters sent to email addresses.
If you share this newsletter through Instant Import or through an Enterprise Account with Mission Control™ using Push or Send, this is the Newsletter Name that will appear in users’ accounts or sub-accounts for users to identify this newsletter.
Subject
This is the Subject Line that will appear as the subject of the email in your subscribers’ email inboxes. The optional Subject Prefix will be added to the beginning of this Subject if used.
Consider consistently including your name, company name or list topic in the Subject Prefix so that your subscribers recognize your incoming emails. For improved open rates, the subject should include a topic that your subscribers are interested in and some reference to the name of the list subscribers joined. This can be in the Prefix or in the main part of the Subject Line.
This Subject Line should change for every newsletter to prevent being condensed or broken in Gmail and other email services that string emails together as a Conversation and attempt to omit repeated content.
For better results, try to include a topic for immediate action which you can focus on in the first main article or side article in the body of your newsletter. This could be purchasing tickets or registering for an event, taking advantage of Special Savings for newsletter subscribers, or placing a phone call in support of important legislation, as examples.
From
This name and email address will be visible in the Sender or From column in your subscribers’ email inboxes. For improved open rates, this name should be recognizable to your subscribers. Use your own name if appropriate or your organization’s name. An email address matching the website address for the organization works best. This email address should not be suspiciously different from the organization or name used.
Reply-To
This is the email address visible to subscribers when they Reply to your email newsletter. This will not be visible in subscribers’ email inboxes and will not affect open rates. This may affect email responses to your email newsletters. This email address should not be suspiciously different from the organization or name seen elsewhere in the email. An email address matching the website address for the organization works best.
Link Tracking
By default, this setting matches whatever is selected under My Account > Settings > Newsletter Preferences. This setting can be changed for an individual email newsletter by making a new selection under Content Option > Link Tracking.
If enabled when Sent, you will be able to track Clicked links from Sent email newsletters under My Reports > My Newsletters.
If disabled, you will not see Clicked data in reports for this newsletter. You will still have access to Opened, Bounced, Subscribed, and Unsubscribed data.
View as Web Page
This link opens your email newsletter as an online web page hosted by MyNewsletterBuilder. This allows someone the option to view your newsletter in a web browser instead of an email program by clicking on a link. This feature is also a key part of using your email newsletters for search marketing.
View as Web Page is not initially visible to online searches unless you use our Publish to Web feature under My Newsletters > View Newsletters or manually add the View as Web Page link to a website or online profile page that is regularly indexed by search engines.
Once you have clicked Save, your newsletter will have a unique Newsletter ID and a valid View as Web Page link which will remain consistent as long as you do not delete this newsletter. You can use this link in your emails, your website, and online profile pages. Archived newsletters keep the same link.
You may include this link in other email newsletters to create links to back issues, special topic issues, and online “read more” web pages for continued articles.
