Library

Using Library Content
Quickly and easily create reusable Library Content – stardard articles, disclaimers, links, graphics, and reusable html – by typing or pasting into the Content text area (as if it were an article), naming the token, adding a brief description, and clicking Save.

Insert this Content into your newsletters by typing a simple token – a word or code beginning and ending with the number or pound sign (#). Preview your newsletter to see your token replaced with your Library Content.

Select Existing Library item
You can edit previously created Content by selecting the item and clicking the Edit button. When you change your Existing Content, any newsletters using its token will also change, even if they are already scheduled to send (or included in an Auto-Series).

Name Library Token
This is the word, phrase, or code you’ll type into your newsletters to automatically insert your Library Content. Use the underscore character between words if needed, but no spaces. You do not need to type the number or pound sign here. It will be added automatically.

When you type the Token into your newsletter template, nothing will happen. The token will appear as plain text. But when you Preview your newsletter or when newsletters are sent, your custom Tokens will be replaced with the matching Content. If this does not happen, remember to type the symbol at the beginning and end of tokens you use.

Edit Library Content
Add images, media, or styled html content using our familiar Content Editor. You may include any of the tokens listed below in your Content. So that our servers don’t chase their own tails, Content may not include its own token or other Library tokens.

Add Bried Description
Add a short description in plain text for easy reference. When you click My Library in your newsletter templates, you will see a list of Tokens and Descriptions that you have created.

Share Content
This feature allows members using our enterprise business, large organization, and multi-level marketing features to distribute information through tokens to multiple MyNewsletterBuilder email marketing accounts.

Existing System Tokens
Our system includes many useful tokens to include your subscriber data in your emails, including first name, last name and many other subscriber fields. You can personalize your email messages by adding tokens to your newsletters.

Subscriber Tokens are individually replaced with available data for each subscriber or with information you’ve provided in your account settings or sign up. Sender and Custom Contact tokens will preview with your current content. Subscriber ID and Newsletter ID are automatically set to a unique number.

Use Preview to check With | Without data. When data is not available, the token text is simply removed from the email.

Create Your Own Library Tokens
Go to More Features > Library – to create or edit library tokens.

  1. Name Library Token – Enter the name you want to use to refer to this token. Keep it simple.
  2. Edit Library Content – Enter the content of the token in the Content Editor. This is the content that you want to appear in the newsletter when this token is used.
  3. Add Brief Description – Enter a brief description of the content. This helps you identify the token when you are looking through a menu of other tokens. If you skip this step, the name of the token will be used.
  4. Click the Save button.
  5. To use this token to insert content into a newsletter, either type the name of the token (for example, #my_token_name#) or click the mnb_tinymce_icon_template.gif Insert Predefined Content button in the Content Editor.
